WeaveCast
http://weavecast.com
Hostess Syne Mitchell does an engaging and informative podcast for weavers. She is a fantastic interviewer, coaxing interesting stories and funny tidbits from weavers of all different sorts. She finds weaving-related music, and takes “audio essay submissions” from regular people like us. All-in-all, it’s a fun, lively, and inspiring monthly audio romp through the world of weaving.
If you have an iPod, subscribe through the iTunes store and you’ll find a new episode in your pocket every month. Make sure to go back and listen to the old episodes. Even the early ones were really well done!
Black Sheep Handweaver’s Guild
http://blacksheepguild.org
If you’re in the Bay Area, take a trip to the Black Sheep Handweaver’s Guild meeting, on the third Thursday of every month in Woodside. They always have a good “program”, usually a presentation from someone of note in the weaving community, either locally or travelling through. At the end of every meeting is a “show and tell” where people are encouraged to bring their recent weaving projects to show off and tell us how they did it.
Loom and Shuttle Guild
http://loomandshuttleguild.org
San Francisco’s own weaving guild, in continuous existence since 1948. You’ll meet weavers of every type, from the newest newbies to lifelong weavers, teachers, and authors.
Dawn MacFall's Studio Blog

If you use a newsreader to follow blogs, sign up for this one. She posts items for sale fairly often. This is where I got Peter Collingwood's book, Techniques of Rug Weaving.
Dawn was sweet and worked extra hard to get this shipped out before she left the studio for a few days. It's just nice, in the middle of reading my other newsfeeds, to be alerted to weaving tools and books from a fellow weaver.
